Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration
Monday, January 16, 2012
This day is dedicated to focusing on Martin Luther King, Jr.’s teachings,
principles of nonviolence and human rights. This is a day to celebrate and
participate in community programs promoting interracial cooperation, not
just a day off from work or school.
The Camden County King Free Foundation would like to invite you, your
congregation and/or civic group to participate in the annual Martin Luther
King Jr. Day celebrations. These events are dedicated to Dr. King’s memory,
philosophy and great strides he made for people of all color in the fight for
equal rights.
There will be a Unity March and a celebration program at 10 am. Activities
will begin at First African Missionary Baptist Church in downtown Kingsland
and end at the Lions Field.
All donations, fees and proceeds raised for the Camden County King Free Foundation will go towards the cost of program
activities, speakers, and supporting our community.
All are invited to participate regardless of race or religion.
